OTHER PROJECTS
Outside of my core work as a celebrant and communications consultant, there are a number of other ways I strive to deepen conversations and help change prevailing narratives.

RITES FOR GIRLS
For thousands of years, across many traditional societies, elders have been initiating the young as they transition from child to adult. This is something that we have all but lost in the UK. Rites for Girls CIC was founded to reclaim this important time of life and support our teens to feel ready for adulthood.
As a Non-Exec Director and Board Chair, I help create a sustainable framework for the Founder and Management Team to fulfil their mission of training and supporting women to work with girls.

ACADEMIC RESEARCH
As an independent, post graduate researcher I am seeking to understand the impact and value of marking the many milestones we experience with ceremony and ritual. My current focus is on the many transitions that present themselves during the menstrual lifecycle, from menarche (first period) to menopause.
I am a member of the Transformative Change: Educational and Life Transitions (TCELT) Research Centre at Dundee University and the Menstruation Research Network at the University of St. Andrew’s.
My work is informed by the Multiple and Multi-dimensional Transitions (MMT) theory as set out by Professor Divya Jindal-Snape (2016) which acknowledges that we each encounter more than one transition at any one time and we experience these in relationship with others who are, in turn, living through their own transitions.
My first published contributions are due very soon!

RETREATS
From time to time, I host one-day and residential retreats for individuals and organisations to create dedicated and nurturing time to pause and consider how best to make a meaningful difference in our lives and work.

ADVOCACY
I am currently dreaming into ways of extending my advocacy – ideas for a podcast and online community are bubbling under the surface. This will build on my previous efforts, having written for various publications and offered commentary on the importance of marking our milestones with intention.
